Thanks! What is the best slow cooker/crockpot recipe book, in you opinion?
I actually ordered the Allrecipes book online ';Tried and True Slow Cooker Recipe's'; there are thousands of recipes in all categories, and they are all the top rated recipes on there... Find them easier to make than some commercially produced books. What is the best slow cooker/crockpot recipe book, in you opinion?
I don't use cookbooks for anything other than ideas. Then I change them up and make it my way. Honestly, the best dishes come from your mind...not a book. The only problem is, you never really make it the same way twice.
I like the Fix It and Forget it Line. It has low fat versions and everything. I have found them pretty simple. Although it does frustrate me when they say to brown the meat first and then add the stuff...but that really doesn't take that long. The recipers are pretty good.
Go to allrecipes.com and seach crock pot cooking
Believe it or not. The best recipes I have didn't come from a book..and I have several books on the subject. The ones I like came from a box of ';slow cooker liners'; made by Reynolds. By the way..if you don't use ';liners'; you're doing way to much work. Clean up is so easy. Anyway, they include recipes in every box. I''ve tried a lot of 'em and some of them are actually pretty good. I'm gonna' try a new one tomorrow.
