I would like to create a recipe book, anyone know how I can get started?

I don't have any writing skills, other than college essays, but I'm really interested in coming out with a book, and I thought a book of my favorite recipes is a way to start. Or can you tell me where to research this?I would like to create a recipe book, anyone know how I can get started?

Depends if you want to self publish or send out samples to book companies. If you send it out to (Random House, Wiley and Sons, Potter, etc their editors will either say they like it or send you a rejection letter.





First thing to do is to go the library or bookstore and get a book on writing and publishing a book so that you can understand how it works.





Capital-you need money to get things rolling





If you decide to self publish you need an editor to edit the book and look for mistakes. You will also need a photographer to take pictures.


You need to test the recipes on people who will be honest.





Color pictures sell cookbooks better!





If you self publish contact Lightning Source or IUniverse they will publish it for you.
